Loren Lavi, Director Healthcare Development As a 25 year veteran of the construction industry, Mr. Lavi has refined innovative management techniques utilizing a meticulously detailed, document intensive and methodically controlled process from conceptual design to project close-out. In his 12 years at Intelisyn Mr. Lavi has been responsible for all aspects of the project control process including coordination of the project delivery team, maintaining project cost control systems and forecasting cash flow requirements, estimating, schedule development, negotiation of contracts and change orders, management of the equipment procurement process, and overall quality surveillance. Mr. Lavi has developed an impressive portfolio of Project Development accomplishments within the construction industry, and provides specialized expertise in Healthcare Project Development. Representative owners include Cedars-Sinai, Kaiser Permanente and Pomona Valley Hospital. As the Office of Statewide Health Planning & Development (OSHPD) becomes increasingly burdened with the upcoming capital projects as a result of Senate Bill 1953, Mr. Lavi’s expertise and knowledge of the industry mitigates the Client’s and Project’s exposure to a progressively complicated process. Mr. Lavi is currently Cedars-Sinai’s representative on the $110 million, 250,000 square foot Suzanne and David Saperstein Critical Care Tower. The building will contain 72 intensive care beds, a 48 bed direct observation unit, 30 acute care beds and space for future expansion. All patient rooms will include the latest electronic monitoring equipment. Mr. Lavi has provided project control services for Kaiser Permanente at five major medical centers in the Southern California area. Completed projects include the 276,000 square foot Woodland Hills Medical Office Building, a 106,000 square foot nursing tower, central plant expansions, emergency department expansions, cardiology / vascular labs, radiology departments, parking structure construction and seismic strengthening. Recently, he has managed the addition of a fifty-two bed monitored universal care unit at Kaiser Permanente’s San Diego Medical Center along with a 24,000 square foot addition to an existing medical office building. Mr. Lavi has developed a database of project cost and schedule information that supports Intelisyn’s ability to develop accurate cost estimates, schedules and cash flows for the Healthcare Market. Prior to his employment with Intelisyn, Mr. Lavi managed the construction of major projects for Northrop Corporation, and has worked for reputable contractors as a project engineer, estimator and scheduler. He also has experience as a subcontractor. Mr. Lavi's background as an owner’s representative, a construction manager, a general contractor, a subcontractor and an ICBO Certified Building Inspector provide the well-rounded experience needed to be an effective Leader of the Project Delivery Team. Other projects in Mr. Lavi’s portfolio include the AES Placerita Cogeneration Plant, a 100MW combined cycle power generation facility, and the U.C.L.A. Ambulatory Care Complex. Mr. Lavi has a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management with a minor in Business Administration. |
