Marc Strange, President As co-founder and President of Intelisyn, Marc Strange has established this corporation as one of the leading Project Development firms in the industry. For over 30 years, Mr. Strange has committed himself to the ideals of advanced planning, development of procedures, and the successful delivery of contracting options. Implementation of these ideals required the pioneering of Project Development process and management techniques, including software innovations, and cost effective “value added” services from project conception to close-out. The Intelisyn Project Development control process has been successfully applied to nearly $3.5 billion in construction projects. Mr. Strange’s unique, “hands-on” involvement includes success stories within the institutional, commercial, multi-residential and advanced technology industries. Mr. Strange has maintained a Project Development Partnership with Kaiser Permanente on over $2.5 billion in medical facilities throughout California, spanning a 17 year working relationship. The services provided include pre-construction services on the $468 million Hospital Replacement Options, located in Fontana, California and the Patient Care Tower in Panorama City, California. The $24 million Regional Reference Laboratory in North Hollywood was one of the most successful applications of the Intelisyn project control process, resulting in documented savings of $2 million and completion of the project six weeks early. Mr. Strange personally maintained budget and schedule commitments for Medical Office Buildings in Rancho Cucamonga, Palmdale, Lancaster and Bakersfield. Currently, Mr. Strange is involved with the digital conversions of all radiology processing equipment and new Cath Laboratory for the Inland Empire Service Area and remains a team member on the Fontana Hospital Replacement project. Specialty projects recently completed include the MRI, CT and ENT / Urology projects for Kaiser Permanente. Additional medical sector experience includes scheduling and estimating services for the $768 million (1998) LAC+USC Hospital Replacement project. Utilizing advanced technologies, the CPM man-loaded schedule and estimate were merged to ensure the feasibility of a theoretical schedule. Mr. Strange provided Owner representation to several medical campuses for Insurance/FEMA application requirements on $50 million in claims after the Northridge earthquake. Mr. Strange has a broad base of experience in Senior Living Development, and has provided specialized construction management techniques and services to a multitude of Senior Living Facilities and clients. These clients have included FACT Retirement Services, Pacific Homes, Sunny View Lutheran Homes, The Episcopal Home, Leisure Care, The Internext Group / front porch, the Retirement Housing Foundation, Life Care Services, Elder Care Alliance and the International Order of Oddfellows. Much of the work done for these clients is in, or near, occupied facilities, creating sensitive conditions specific to each project. Claremont Manor, a $20 million dollar Master Plan project, was occupied and had to remain fully operational during the master plan implementation. Additionally, the facility is in close proximity to an elementary school, creating mitigation requirements relative to safety, noise and traffic. Mr. Strange provided specific assistance to the owner as interface with the city, state, AQMD, Fire Marshall, and neighbors. Residential and Multi-Residential projects in Mr. Strange's portfolio include pre-development/design management services for the $50 million Surfside Village Resort in Ventura County. The specialized requirements for Coastal Commission, Port Authority, U.S. Army Corp., railroad and seawall approvals made for a complex network of communication. The Surfwood Point condominium complex located in Pasadena, California involved an extensive renovation of the facility due to water damage and Contractor related defects. All work performed was accomplished while the complex was occupied. After being severely damaged by the Northridge Earthquake, Mr. Strange provided the Lassen Village condominium complex with a full range of project management services, and the tools and documentation necessary for the Home Owner's Association to negotiate an equitable insurance settlement. At the Vine Life Christian Fellowship, Mr. Strange was contacted when construction stopped on the facility at 70% complete. He then successfully managed the negotiations on 42 liens and lawsuits, and the resumption of construction. Advanced Technology projects completed by Mr. Strange include the previously mentioned Regional Reference Lab, and a Northrop Corporation 200 acre research and development facility, where he managed a 13 member project development team. This 3.5 year commitment produced over $240 million in successful advanced technology construction, while utilizing unconventional, highly effective delivery processes. Mr. Strange graduated cum laude from California Polytechnic University at Pomona with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management. He furthered his education with a Masters Degree in Business Management from Pepperdine University.
