 Santa Barbara Bowl

Intelisyn is current providing services on multiple projects within this facility.  Information, renderings and photos pertaining to these, as well as previously completed projects, appears below.

El Balcon:  This project was completed under strict scheduling requirements between the 2002 and 2003 concert seasons.  Intelisyn provided comprehensive construction management services for this project.

This project was recently honored at the 40th Annual

Santa Barbara Beautiful Awards in the Historic Restoration Category.

Congratulations to the Project Team and Bowl Foundation.

Building Project:  This project included the complete demolition and removal of the existing stage and backstage areas of the 4,423 seat Santa Barbara Bowl concert amphitheatre.  To help maintain the history and authenticity of the facility, rock walls that had surrounded the original structure were preserved intact.  To gain about 200% more room in the backstage areas, soil was excavated from under the stage.

The new stage structure includes public restroom facilities, improved artist backstage areas (including new chorus rooms to accommodate more opera, drama, orchestral events), and concession areas.  Accessed by a tunnel under the lawn, the public restrooms will have the largest number of toilets (120) of any facility in Santa Barbara.

A new "turret" was constructed to house the merchandise booth, and includes a wheelchair accessible lift to the lawn seating area, a new landscaping area, and new lawn access.  The plaza area was leveled for easier accessibility, and the pretzel and coffee booths were relocated under the stage to create more area.

This project was completed under strict scheduling requirements between the 2001 and 2002 concert seasons.  Missing the final construction completion date was not an option due to concerts scheduled well in advance of the completion of the project.  The goal was met, and the Bowl's Patrons enjoyed a night of Reggae and a newly refurbished facility in late May, 2002.

Intelisyn provided comprehensive construction management services for this project as well as previous and other ongoing projects at this complex.

Storm Drain Project:  This project was completed under strict scheduling requirements between the 2000 and 2001 concert seasons.  Intelisyn provided comprehensive construction management services for this project as well as previous and other ongoing projects at this complex.
