Digital Radiology Conversion Kaiser Permanente's Southern California radiology strategy is to create a filmless imaging environment for all Medical Service Areas with a multi-phased approach to implement filmless imaging systems. This phase of work, the IMIS (Integrated Medical Imaging Solutions) General Radiology CR/DR project, converts general radiology systems from a film-based environment to a digital environment by using Computed Radiography (CR) and Direct Radiography (DR) systems with supporting infrastructure. The primary objective of this project is to replace existing film based imaging equipment with new digital imaging equipment within multiple rooms, buildings and site locations. Intelisyn was engaged to provide project management services for planning, design, and construction at 6 of Kaiser Permanente's Southern California Medical Service Areas. The general project scope included identification of equipment to be added / removed per user requirements, planning for demolition and existing equipment removal, installation of local data infrastructure and power source if required, room modifications per new equipment specifications, and the installation of new equipment. |
