Santa Clarita Medical Office Building

Kaiser Permanente’s new Medical Office Building in Santa Clarita, California was in construction, and 80% complete on January 17, 1994. The earthquake damaged the 43,500 square foot building, and threatened severe delays to the opening of the facility.

A room by room plan work plan was developed by the project team, that would allow additional construction to continue, while structural damage caused by the earthquake was being repaired. This plan saved 7 weeks of additional delays, and over $100,000 in additional general condition costs.

The two story building is steel framed, with a tilt-up concrete exterior wall and infill glass window frames. It houses Physical Therapy, Radiology, Clinical Lab, Pharmacy, Administration and patient exam rooms.

Intelisyn provided preconstruction and construction services for this project, as well additional services necessary for the fulfillment of FEMA and OES requirements.
